Dr. Kamran Khan is a practicing infectious disease physician and scientist at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, and an Associate Professor with the Division of Infectious Diseases and the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. Since the 2003 SARS epidemic, he has been studying the worldwide airline transportation network as a conduit for the global spread of infectious diseases. In 2013, Dr. Khan founded BlueDot, asocial enterprise that leverages big data, advanced analytics, and web and mobile technology to help prevent, prepare for, and respond to high-consequence, global infectious diseases.
